What else does tinyvox let you do ?
Where can I send or post my tapes ?
What stuff should I tape ?
This app lets you tape, email & broadcast ideas easily, creating
"tapes", which are audio messages.
To record anything, just hit the big red Record button on the main taping screen. Press Pause to pause, and Stop for options.
TWITTER VOICEMAIL: Enter their @username in the TAPE LABEL and tweet it out.
You can tape up to 20 minutes and easily share it on the server. So if your tape is going past 20 minutes, start a new tape from the "Stop" menu.
To skip the Stop Menu, touch the SHARE button
to go directly to Play&Share.
On the P&S screen, you aren't done until you hit the big blue Share! button at the bottom. This starts the upload; works way better on WiFi than 3G.
Any tape on our server is only semi-private. Your recipients can share them and Google sees them. For total privacy, use MP3 attachment.
You can tape up to 20 minutes with no problem uploading.
Longer tapes may choke when being uploaded, so Stop->Make A New Tape at 20 minutes.
TINYVOX works by sending your audio up to our server, and then posting it out to social networks or email. If public, you get a URL for the tape.
Enter your Settings: sharing icons won't light until you do
THE LANDING PAGE AUDIO AUTOPLAYS: the instant anyone clicks your TinyVox URL, they'll hear you! So type and paste your URL anywhere !!!
From the Landing Page you can embed the tape in Basecamp or Wordpress, share the tape further, and add comments.
Try the Facebook Like and Send buttons on the Landing page! Amazing. Type the URL anywhere to make the Web talk.
Use the HQ mode in Settings for taping music. This takes longer to upload and limits the duration to 12 minutes max, but sounds
way clearer.
Live concert taping can be rough because it's too distorted, so try muffling the sound by standing on the porch.
After you've taped some audio:
iMessage anyone in your Contacts privately - free if you're both on iMessage, this sends it via SMS if they aren't
Email to Self: sends it to your own email (private MP3 attachment)
Dropbox: just email to self, and then right-click the MP3 attachment and save to your Dropbox. It's named with the tape label for easier recall.
Email a Friend: enter anybody's email, just enter or paste it in
Email a Contact: sends it to one of your Contacts (just pick a contact & hit the big blue Share! button)
Evernote: save your Evernote email address in your Contacts and make sure you've
set your Email Settings to send as MP3 (!!!)
Facebook: posts the tape to your News Feed with a cute cassette icon
Twitter: posts the tape to your Twitter - the Title (or label) of your tape is what gets actually tweeted out
Tumblr: posts to your Tumblr, and you can post as many audios as you like per day
Soundcloud: posts to your Soundcloud account; great for sharing music you've made
Path: pick none of the options to get a URL, then copy-paste the URL into your Path as a new Message or comment
Audioboo: create a Boomail email address and save it in your Contacts and make sure you've set your Email Settings to send as MP3 attachment
You can also post a tape NOWHERE just to get a URL returned, which you can type anywhere on the Web: blog comments, convore, and more!
Type a TINYVOX URL in Facebook Messages, Chat, Walls and Groups - you'll always see the cute cassette icon magically pop up :D
